The Tyneside School of Clinical Reflexology
Hello!
My name is Simon James and I am a fully qualified Clinical Reflexologist based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and serving the local communities of Gateshead, Tyneside, Northumberland and County Durham.
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (MFHT), The Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and of Professional Reflexology (PRM). I am also on the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council Register (CNHCReg).
My mission is to provide Clinical Reflexology treatments to the highest of professional standards which leave my clients feeling refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated. As well as running my own busy Clinical Reflexology practice, I also lead The Tyneside School of Clinical Reflexology.
My Story
Over the last couple of years, it's not been unusual for me to get a call asking :
"Do you teach reflexology?"
The short answer was "Yes" as I'd been offering short workshops to clients who wanted to find out how to do short sequences with partners, friends and family for some time. However, these were informal - simply me passing on what I'd learnt from others and what I did in my own practice. I also made it clear that a short workshop with me didn't make you a reflexologist!
Anyway - I had a look around and discovered that there were no locally-based schools teaching high level, comprehensive reflexology courses on Tyneside.
So - as I've got more than 40 years experience as an educator in adult, community and further education and I'm passionately committed to the development of high quality reflexology I decided to do something about it. I spoke to colleagues at The Professional Reflexology Association and so with their support, I'm launching The Tyneside School of Clinical Reflexology with our first course scheduled for September 2025.
